Cowl Fitting

Cowl Fitting

Chimney cowls help reduce rain ingress and prevent birds from entering and nesting in your chimney.

There are a wide range of types, sizes and materials used for various applications. I can advise on the correct cowl for your application, supply and fit.

One of the most common questions I am asked is

"How much to fit a chimney cowl?"

Impossible to answer until I know what you need.

  1. What fuel is used eg wood / smokeless, gas, oil?
  2. Do you have a chimney pot?
  3. If so, what shape is it?
  4. Is the pot easy to access?

Cowl specifications differ for unused chimneys, gas fires and solid fuel fires with a range of metals and mesh sizes used. I carry a wide stock for the most common applications.

I use a UK based manufacturer who produces high quality, heavy duty cowls  which will outlast the cheaper cowls you find in hardware and DIY outlets.

Pricing depends upon the specific application and also ease of access so please get in touch and I can advise.
